History
In February 2009, the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan decided to establish SK-Pharmacy Company in structure of National Welfare Fund Samruk-Kazyna JSC (Government Decree No. 134, dated February 11, 2009).
Rights of possession and uses of absolute share of "SK- Pharmacy " Limited Liability Partnership were transferred by the Republic of Kazakhstan’s Government Decree No. 516 dated May 25, 2013 to the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
The Uniform distributor system is created for the purpose of providing the population with medicines within the guaranteed volume of free medical care, increase of stability and competitiveness of pharmaceutical industry of the Republic of Kazakhstan, development of pharmaceutical industry by consolidation of public procurement of medicines.
Main activities of the Uniform distributor:
- The organization of the open bidding on medicines purchasing within the guaranteed volume of free medical care;
- The organization of storage of medicines according to requirements appropriate distribution practices and Legislations of the Republic of Kazakhstan;
- The organization of logistics processes of medicines and products of medical purpose in the state medical organizations;
- Creation of information system for integration of logistics processes of the Uniform distributor, customer and suppliers, as well as for obtaining up-to-date information on circulation, commodity balances.
Since 2011 in accordance with the Decree of the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated October 30, 2009, no. 1729 SK-Pharmacy LLP acts as the organizer of purchase of the medical equipment acquired at the expense of the republican budget as well as for further transfer to health care organizations on the terms of financial leasing.
With transfer of function of the centralized purchase of medical equipment SK-Pharmacy LLP was tasked to decrease in its cost due to centralization of purchase within the republic and application of two-stage tender procedures, further improvement of quality of the acquired equipment and ensuring uninterrupted operation of it.
