Every month about 3 thousand people voluntarily donate blood in Research and Production Center for Transfusion. The number of donations is more than 45 thousand per year. Most often, donors are civil servants, engineers, managers of large enterprises and deputies, said Shayzhamal Musabekova, deputy director on medical work, BNews.kz reports.+
"Every year, more than 45 thousand donations are held at our center. About three thousand people in a month donate blood. We provide 23 city hospitals. And in the country there are more than 285,000 donations a year," she said.
According to Musabekova, annual number of people willing to donate blood significantly increases, all the necessary conditions are created for patients in the Center. The blood can be taken even on a holiday.
Musabekova noted that donors are more often civil servants, engineers, managers of large enterprises and even MPs.
