The main method of preventing tetanus is vaccination. The incubation period lasts from 4 to 14 days, in some cases 30 days or more. There is a dependence severity of the clinical course of the duration of the incubation period: the shorter it is, the more severe disease and more deaths.
Persons who have received injuries, injuries in violation of the skin and mucous membrane integrity should be vaccinated routinely.
