In Astana, Deputy Minister of Health and Social Development Svetlana Zhakupova and president of the Association of Light Industry Enterprises of Kazakhstan Lyubov Khudova signed a memorandum on cooperation in the sphere of production of clothing and footwear for people with disabilities, including children with disabilities. Tailoring and shoemaking for people with disabilities will be made with regard to their functionality and requirements, the Strategy 2050 NA reported.

Due to the fact that today in Kazakhstan there is no production of clothing for persons with disabilities, this project is important.

The event held a demonstration of a collection of clothes and shoes «Adaptive Clothing and Shoes», manufactured and constructed taking into account the features and needs of the disabled.

Currently, in the country there are about 651.9 thousand people with disabilities.
